First post/Hello World

This is the first post of my new work blog. The primary purpose of this blog will be as a repository for my experiences at the 2007 CodeMash but I'll probably post here from time to time about my day job. I may also post some non-work stuff but I promise not to go as out there as Rory does.

The primary reason for the sparse posting will be that this is something I will probably only be able to do in my spare time and I've got other writing committments that I need to get done as well as other weekly obligations. Plus it's not like you really need yet anothe boring blog to track and read.

Welcome to the 21st century. Here are some tips:

- always blog, even if they are small thoughts. I personally need to do better on this as well.

- use feedburner to publish your rss feed. makes it easier to move or manage you blog

- don't 'out' the other people at your employer by linking to them and then saying where you work. Ask James.

- put the codemash logo in your tempate, and email codemash with your URL so you can get entered to win a zune

- and let everyone know that even though the early bird special has ended, the $88/night awesome rate was extended by the Kalahari.

Good advice but I've been blogging since before it was cool ;)
